Activities

To support a community classroom and promote literacy, chapter members had fun setting up a book fair at a local elementary school.

Our chapter is involved in many activities which support the DAR objectives of historic preservation, education, and patriotism within our community.

The City of Arvada produced a short video about our Chapter’s participation in Wreaths Across America:

Saturday, January 19: Chapter Anniversary Luncheon Meeting–Program: “Different Tribes, Different Journeys”, presented by Karen Herdman, State American Indian Chair, and DAR State Speaker Staff Member. Silent Auction

Saturday, February 2: Prospective Member Workshop. Interested in learning more about DAR? Contact our Membership Chair to learn more about DAR and use this workshop as a time to research your lineage to complete a membership application.

Tuesday, February 12: Regular Chapter Business Meeting–Program: “Family Tree Organization: Empowering Change. Transforming Lives”, presented by Tami MaWhir, Development Coordinator. Awards Presentations and Community Service Project “Hand Up Handbags”-filling handbags with personal items for women in need within the Family Tree Organization.

Tuesday, March 12: Regular Chapter Business Meeting–Program: “The DAR State Forest & Our Colorado Memorial DAR Forest”, presented by Gale Crafton, Honorary Colorado State Regent, Past Vice President General, National DAR Tours Chair, State Archiving Chair, State Speaker’s Staff Member, Honorary Chapter Regent- Mountain Rendezvous Chapter, and Doctor Susan Anderson Chapter Associate Member.
