Hosting a Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Arvada Cemetery to honor and remember our Nation’s servicemen and women. This is a ceremonial wreath-laying event only.

Our chapter is involved in many activities which support the DAR objectives of historic preservation, education, and patriotism within our community.

Tuesday, November 12: Regular Chapter Business Meeting. “Colorado Honor Bell” Presented by Michelle Mallin, Executive Director, Honor Bell Foundation.  Service Project – American Heritage Committee project to write notes to be included with soap-saver washcloths hand-made by chapter members to be given to women veterans in our community.


Tuesday, December 10: Regular Chapter Business Meeting. “History of Christmas Traditions in Early America” Presented by Linda Remley, DAR State Speaker Staff Member.  Service Project – Commemorative Events Committee project to fold Pocket Flags that will be provided to active duty deployed or deploying troops.

Saturday, January 11: Regular Chapter Business Meeting. “State Regent Visit”, Colorado State Regent, Bethe Clark-Urban.  Chapter Silent Auction Fundraising Event.


Tuesday, February 11: Regular Chapter Business Meeting. “DAR Good Citizen’s Awards”, “Cannonball Creek Society, N.S.C.A.R.”, “Colorado State Society, N.S.C.A.R” and “American Indian Committee Updates” Presented by various Chapter Members and invited guests from N.S.C.A.R.  Service Project – Service to America Committee project to stuff Grab and Go Bags with bottled water and snacks to be delivered to Arvada Firefighters.


Tuesday, March 12: Regular Chapter Business Meeting.“Colorado Parks and Wildlife” Presented by Jennifer Standlee, Colorado Parks, and Wildlife Manager Service Project – Women’s Issues Committee project to create Dignity Socks and Cupcake Socks for the Family Tree organization.


Tuesday, April 14: Regular Chapter Business Meeting. “Organ Donation” Presented by Ann Gaspers, Public Education Coordinator, Donor Alliance.  Service Project – American Indian Committee donation drive to benefit Bacone College (DAR School).  Annual Chapter Committee Fair to follow immediately after the meeting.


Saturday, May 16: Regular Chapter Business Meeting. “100 Years Voting: The Story of Women’s Suffrage” Presented by Karen Hancock, DAR State Speaker Staff.
